Josiah R. Baker is the Nimocks Professor of Business and associate professor of finance and economics at Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dr. Baker's most recent book, Religion, Politics, and Polarization, explains how changes of religious affiliation in Congress have contributed to an increasingly dysfunctional legislative environment. Baker earned his Ph.D. at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and was a Fulbright Scholar in Bolivia in 2004. Considering himself as an "interdisciplinary scholar," since 1996 Baker has taught college courses in economics, finance, political science, and geography.
