Michael Strong

Michael Strong is the CEO and chief visionary officer of Freedom Lights Our World, a non-profit devoted to entrepreneurial solutions to world problems. He is the founder of several innovative high-performance schools, including a charter school named the 36th best public high school in the U.S. by the Washington Post. He is the author of The Habit of Thought: From Socratic Seminars to Socratic Practice. His latest book, Be the Solution: How Entrepreneurs and Conscious Capitalists Can Solve All the World’s Problems, was co-authored with John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods Market, Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Hernando de Soto, Co-Chair of the U.N. Commission on the Legal Empowerment of the Poor, and others.
