Friedman Legacy Day

2013—Milton Friedman, a Nobel-recognized economist and advisor to several U.S. presidents, will be the focal point at 158 events in all 50 states and 20 countries on July 31. The John W. Pope Center for Higher Education Policy is participating in the annual “Friedman Legacy Day” to showcase the late professor’s famous policies, including tax reform and school choice.
George Leef, Director of Research at the John W. Pope Center for Higher Education Policy will be the speaker at an event on July 31 st in Hickory, NC. A luncheon will be held at the Crowne Plaza, 1385 Lenoir-Rhyne Blvd. SE, Hickory, NC 28602. Registration opens at 11:30 and lunch will begin at noon. To register, please go to popecenter.org/events.
The Pope Center event is being co-sponsored by the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice, a group founded by Dr. Friedman and his wife, Rose.
