Gregory Roper

Gregory Roper, Ph.D., was educated at the University of Virginia and has published on the Gawain Poet, Geoffrey Chaucer, and other subjects. His book The Writer's Workshop: Imitating Your Way to Better Writing kicked off a return to the ancient and medieval art of imitation as the best way to learn to write, and now, once again out of his almost forty years of teaching, he has published Mastering the Four Arguments: The Classical Technique That Will Help You Write Persuasively. He is an English professor and dean of students at the University of Dallas, his alma mater.
