[OPINION] The Houston Chronicle: Teaching the Bible in Texas schools is good, actually

Martin Center editor Garion Frankel authored an opinion piece defending Texas’ decision to include Bible excerpts in its public school curriculum. Frankel argues that regardless of one’s religious beliefs, students cannot fully understand American history, literature, the Founding, or even the English language without a basic knowledge of the Bible. While he acknowledges legitimate concerns about implementation, he maintains that biblical literacy is an essential part of a well-rounded education.
