Ann Marie Adams

Ann Marie Adams is a professor of English at Morehead State University. Prior to serving as Faculty Senate chair, her research reflected her training in twentieth-century literature and film. Since serving as chair, her scholarly interests have shifted to the contemporary crisis in higher education. When she is not charting the budgetary impact of intercollegiate athletics, she is exploring ways to update Matthew Arnold’s pragmatic thoughts on education and idealistic invocations of high culture for the present era.
