Henry Bauer

Henry Bauer is Professor Emeritus of Chemistry & Science Studies and Dean Emeritus of Arts & Sciences, Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech). He has previously served at the Universities of Sydney, Michigan, Southampton, and Kentucky. He is Austrian by birth (1931), Australian by education (1939-56), and American (citizen since 1969) by choice. His publications, chiefly in chemistry and science studies, include more than a hundred articles and twelve books; the latest is 'Science Is Not What You Think: How It Has Changed, Why We Can’t Trust It, How It Can Be Fixed (McFarland, 2017).
