James Bovard

James Bovard is the author of ten books, including the bestselling Lost Rights: The Destruction of American Liberty (1994). He is a member of the USA Today Board of Contributors and has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Playboy, and Washington Post. He has written on food stamps and hunger controversies for more than 30 years and testified
before the Senate Agriculture Committee and President Reagan’s Task Force on Food Assistance.

His work has been publicly denounced by the chiefs of a dozen federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, TSA, DEA, and the Secretary of Agriculture.
