Joanne Florino

Joanne Florino is the Philanthropy Roundtable’s Adam Meyerson Distinguished Fellow in Philanthropic Excellence. In that capacity, she consults with and advises foundations and individual donors on operations, management, and governance issues with a special focus on protecting donor intent. Florino previously served the Roundtable as vice president of philanthropic services and as senior vice president for public policy. She was executive director of the Triad Foundation in Ithaca, New York, from April 2003 through March 2013. She was also executive director of the Park Foundation, a program associate at The Atlantic Philanthropies, and an instructor in American history at Cornell University and Ithaca College. She currently serves as an ex officio board member of the New York Council of Nonprofits. She earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in American history from Cornell University.
