RALEIGH, NC—The James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal has sent two letters to the US House Committee on Education and the Workforce praising pending legislation on accreditation.
In her letters, Martin Center president Jenna Robinson called attention to the critical importance of two bills:
- H.R. 4054, the Accreditation Choice and Innovation Act, “which takes bold, necessary steps to reform our antiquated and ineffective accreditation system,” and
- H.R. 2516, the Accreditation for College Excellence (ACE) Act of 2025, which “takes a crucial step in safeguarding academic freedom and ensuring that accreditation remains focused solely on educational quality, free from ideological or political influence.”
